Update

Well, we know it's been a while, we would have written last month, but we were still remodling the bathroom (which we finish soon!) and we were on vacation...as you can tell from the pictures. Sometimes it's quicker to upload pictures than to write one of these updates.

We'll start with Vacation. WHAT an AMAZING time we had where we learned a lot about what God is teaching us here in Buffalo. While it's hard to live here and we complain (A LOT) about it, it's been a time to grow and learn. We found out that there's an opening available at SoCal TRACON which we've now decided will be an option for us to apply for. We do want to move back to Texas--but we may be moving back to San Diego instead. Minus a bunch of details, we had an awesome time with our family and friends and miss everyone dearly! We wish that would have been the move back.

When we returned from vacation, Jason received word that they want to speed up his training because there are 3 or 4 new people coming and they don't want to have to train at 2 different levels. Jason is doing well--a lot better than he was now that a few people understand him better--and he is hoping to get his next qualification by the end of October. Only a couple more to go and we're done!

Ashley has now come to the conclusion that there are no people in Amherst that like to sign up for classes to Scrapbook. She's lowering her class fees to see if that helps, but if it doesn't she won't be teaching anymore starting in January.

Speaking of January, we are heading to Texas to go to The Starting the Year Off Right conference there at GOZ. We thought it would be a great way to start the year since we haven't celebrated one holiday together this year (literally) and we'd like next year to be the year we get the job transfer (September) and put a completion to our time in New York.

We will be in Texas for about a week (that's all the vacation time Jason has) and then we probably won't be taking anymore vacation next year. Since Jason is becoming closer to his check out they have him working all holiday's and he worked his first overtime this past Sunday. (We do love that extra money for saving!)

We hope that everyone enjoyed their summer and that the school year got off to a good start. We're sorry if we don't get to see everyone when we come visit places, but know that we are thinking about you. May the changes of the season to come meet you with open arms and you enjoy your time with the family and friends God has given you. Be blessed!!

Long Time

Wow we didn't realize it had been April since we had written. As you can see we stopped doing Birthday wishes online basically because we don't know who reads and we were trying to get better with cards and calls. Let's see, where to start. Well, as you can see we went to GA in May to see Ashley's brother graduate from HS. That was a fun trip (short but fun).  We then came back to find the downstairs neighbors still meandering around downstairs and well it just took a while to get them out. We finished painting, stripping, and restaining the living room and the wood in it. We then started to rip out the bathroom where it was rotted and VERY difficult. 95% of the bathroom was covered in tile and after being sore for almost 4 days (hands especially) we FINALLY finished. We are now waiting on our new tub, window, and electrical work and then we will post all before and after photos.

Next we're going to work on the kitchen for a bit and hopefully the dining room because we wanted to get as much done as possible before we move in so we don't have Hershey getting into everything. When we were using the hammers (and yes, sledgehammer) on the bathroom it would take a few hours before he'd go back in the bathroom up here. The last thing going in is the carpet and yes, then we can FINALLY move downstairs.

We have been feeling a little lonely at times because none of our friends call and Jason's guys at work are giving him a hard time again and not training him--but every day is a new day with God and we have to learn our patience because Lord knows we're ready to ring some people's necks. We move in on the 1st and then we are going to California on the 15th for 2 weeks. We are VERY excited about this trip because it's the first VACATION we get where we don't really have a whole lot to do. Just a fun confrence, visiting with some friends, going to Disneyland, and Sea World. We're very happy to have these two weeks to be together on a vacation where we don't have any major event (not that we don't enjoy major events--but we're happy to get away from here at any point in time).

Be praying that DFW will want Jason NOW and that it's God's will we move back. We haven't found a REAL church here and it's hard living in an environment where everyone is so negative...it kinda rubs off after a while (on us). We are praying for everyone out there. We love you guys and miss you!

Update

Well it's been a while. With nothing to really report. Well, some things have happened since then.

We'll start with a couple weeks after the Ashley's return. She had to take Hershey to the vet for his check up and some shots...needless to say (and to make a long story short) he was totally unhappy. She accidentally got in the middle of his anger and he bit her finger. (almost all the way through--she still has a scar). Everything was fine after a couple of weeks the swelling went down and Hershey has turned into a different kitty.

We've been to a fundraising dinner for the Joshua Revolution which is a teen organization here that gets together for a giant youth convention every year. They are working this year to win back a nation for Christ and the youth are going to do that :) we're excited about the vision this group has.

We have a lot of stuff to do at church. Ashley is working with another person on the decor for the upcoming Women's Breakfast. Jason will be cooking for that event and is ecstatic because he's a cooking guru. Ashley was helping with the children during a mom's playgroup so that the mom's had a break for a couple hours--those kids were so great!

We have made friends that are absolutely amazing. One couple has kids, the other doesn't. So we still get our kid fix with their 3. They've been awesomely prayful and playful. We have a great time hanging out with them and their kids.

Jason will be done with his training soon. He is about 3 weeks away from his last qual on this specific part to the training. Then he has one last thing to do and he'll be ready to put in for a transfer. We hope that we get to go home soon. Even though every place has it's ups and downs...we don't see to many ups here. After half a year spent here we have just now gotten friends (whom we will miss dearly) but the place we live is frustrating--especially after we called the police last week. If you wanna know the WHOLE story, call us because it's interesting. We have seen the way things are here like laws, taxes, housing, and people.

We will be back next month with our update. We have to go to GA for a week for Ashley's brother's graduation and it's our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. Exciting!! Everyone have a great week. Love and miss you!

Ashley's Return and March Birthday's

Wow, what a journey. My 2 month trek cross country was exciting and so fun! I do have 2 sugesstions: 1. Fly Delta and Southwest AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE and 2. When you fly early in the morning take headphones and your own pillow...plus ask if you can have a seat far away from children who are obviously not trained to be in public...hehe.

I want to first thank everyone for letting me stay with them, eat their food, and borrow their car (wink wink). I can't disappoint anyone by saying which stop was my favorite, so I won't. But I will go through the journey that was on plus a few extras.

Two days before Christmas, Jason and I went to GA to spend Christmas with my mom and the family. My Uncle and Aunt ended up not making it to Europe...aww...but we did enjoy the time there. On the 26th Jason drove back to NY and I waited up for Mom and David to drive me at 3 am to the airport in Atlanta on the 27th. (Thanks Mom and David for driving me so early) Flight was ok...and it was on American...and after the last fiasco on there I still stand by my words of not ever flying with them again. I only flew this time because I had a voucher. I did feel a lot better when I got in and saw Pa'pa and Ma'ma.

I flew in before Jason (who got into Oklahoma on Jan 16) because our friends wanted to go to a confrence and didn't have anyone to watch their 3 children...which I then took care of for 3 and a half days by myself. It was a good time! I really enjoyed them. Mommy then had to go in for surgery and I watched them again for another day. We went shopping and laughed and they were happy to see Jason when he did come down on the weekends.

Pa'Pa and Ma'Ma took me to dinner and we got to spend some time with our dear friends Gary and Kathy. We had an amazing time and it was hard to leave after 6 weeks, but I knew I had one more stop: San Diego. On Feb 13 Jason left to go back to NY (again) and I left on the 14th to go to San Diego. I got in, went and got my hair done by my favorite hair stylist Troung. The next day I drove (what was supposed to be a 2 and a half hour drive) 5 hours to Camarillo where the best confrence ever took place! I had an awesome time!

God is working amazingly in the nation and especially in California. I bought some books for us to read and brought home TONS of notes. My favorite part of the confrence was getting hear different speakers all weekend. I then drove back to San Diego where I enjoyed the rest of my 2 weeks with my only cousins and My Uncle and aunt (not my only ones). We all went to Disneyland and had an awesome time and it was tons of fun!

After 2 weeks, it was finally time for me to head back up to Buffalo and see Jason. We only got to see each other a few days in the last two months...and I am happy to be together with him again. I wish that we were in a different place...but I am happy to be with him. I missed him A LOT.

We did talk about how much we miss our family and friends again, but don't worry...just keep in touch through calling and email and don't forget about us we'll be back soon. We're hoping to make it out to Cali together this year some time. We hope to hear from everyone soon!! Come visit! Love everyone!

February

Wow, guess this year's deciding to fly by quickly.  Well, we've seen most of you that read our website. We just have one thing to say--sign on to genebase.com and help us with the family tree!! We desperately need those that are members to help fulfill the tree until some kids are born. If only we could sit and talk to each one of you and get the info ourselves it would be that easy, however...if you're already a member then it doesn't work because we then need your "permission" to add or delete people.

As for that, we just like to keep reminders up. We would like for everyone to be praying for Ashley's family...we're not getting into detail about it, just know that as we pray God answers our prayers when there are two or more gathered in prayer. Our friend Heather, about 2 weeks ago, went in for a bladder surgery, sparing you the details she's doing pretty well and will be up shortly actually leaving the house for extended periods of time. Pray that this surgery actually sticks because we read up on the odds of it not sticking, and we don't want her to be the one that it doesn't. It's an extremely painful surgery and we can only hope it doesn't happen to anyone else :) Pray for our dear friend Kathy, and our grandma Dianne, they both have been fighting illness for about a month now. Ma'ma was getting better and then all of a sudden came down with a Stomach Virus to where she hasn't been able to consume much food.  And finally, (we think) our dear friend Erica. She's not been doing too hot with the divorce and she's ready for it to be over. We keep reassuring her that her part might be over, but unfortunately at this point, it involves two little ones and we hate to see then continue a custody battle for the next 16 years. She's doing well and the kids are too, but it's stressful being a single mom, going to work Full Time, and going to school Full Time so she can get a better job.

Ashley is in Texas still. She went to Oklahoma last week and helped out around the house, took Geno to his surgery (oh, another prayer request, he had the BIG screw taken out of his foot, but the dr's say he won't stop swelling for about a year...let's pray that's not the case!) and she took Ashlea (the niece) shopping too. She had a good time there and Jason misses her so much that they are excited about seeing eachother again this weekend for one last visit before he goes back to Buffalo and she goes to San Diego...although she gets the better end of the trip, he will be missed especially when she goes to Disneyland. (pray for her safe trip and safe return to Buffalo)

Guess that's all the news for now. oh, Jason is doing extremely well at training. When he returns to Buffalo he will be fully qualified in about 4 more months then we can start applying to go back to Texas. There are some great stories to go along with his training...but he has limited time between school and sleep to tell them so look back in a few weeks and we'll see if he gets them up.

We hope everyone enjoys their Valentine's Day. Don't use this as the only day to tell the one you love that you love them, but use it to go above and beyond the other days that you do!

Birthday wishes for February are:

Happy New Year and January Birthday's

Hi everyone!

We hope everyone had a happy new year and it's time to get this year started and going...Jason is still in New York and right now Ashley is in Texas helping out with their friends during the "Starting the Year off Right" confrence GOZ is holding right now. Noah is giving Ashley tons of kisses and the other two are asleep...ahhh.

Christmas was really good to them this year. Ashley got a check from her worker's comp settlement (only one more check and she's finally done with them) and Jason bought her a new diamond ring, diamond earrings, the perfume she wanted, and an Ipod. She was VERY happy. Jason got a lot of Texas gear. He requested that he receive no clothing because he is working on working off the pounds that have seen their way onto both of us over the past 2 years! He got a really neat hat (that's in the pics) and and hat carrier. He also later got a hoodie with Texas embrodered on the front and a pull over light jacket.

While Ashley is in Texas it's hard being away from Jason. (and vice versa) Jason will join Ashley the weekend of Jan 19 the week after her birthday.

Speaking of birthday's...

Well, that's all for now. One last thing...Jason got another "promotion" basically he has 2 left and then we can start making our way back to Texas (hopefully!) We really hope that God grants the desires of our hearts so that we can be closer to our family and friends! We miss all of you. Ashley will be in San Diego Feb 14-28. the 15-17 is a confrence in Camarillo but other than that she'll be in San Diego. Can't wait to see all of you!! Love ya!

Michigan...beginning of Christmas

Hi Everyone. We went to Michigan this weekend to see Ashley's friend Louisa who drove up from GA to see her Family for Christmas. We Drove through Canada and made the 4 1/2 hour drive to arrive at Lou's grandparents' house in Grosse Pointe, MI. We had a lot of fun taking pictures, driving around looking at Christmas lights, and seeing Downtown Detroit.  The pictures are up and thus begins the Christmas travels.

From here, we go to GA for Christmas on Friday. Then, Jason will drive back to NY on the 26th and on the 27th Ashley will be heading to Texas. Jason will then drive to Texas/Oklahoma around Jan 16th where he has to do school training. He will be coming down to Texas occasionally so that we can visit everyone, hand out Christmas presents, and spend time with the people we've missed so much in the past 4 months.

From there, Jason will drive back to NY on Feb 13th and on Feb 14th, Ashley will be flying from Texas to California to spend time with family and friends. She will also be attending a confrence (church relate) and then will head back to NY on Feb 28th. LOTS of traveling, lots of prayer needed!!

If it takes a while for us to return emails, it's because we are busy with work and family and friends, so don't take it that we're ignoring you.

We hope everyone enjoys their Christmas Holiday's, time off work, and ringing in the New Year. We keep each and every one of you close to our hearts and in our prayers. We miss you and love ya!

Thanksgiving

Hi!

We just got back into town yesterday after a VERY long car ride from Athens, GA. We left here last Tuesday right after Jason got off work and made it to Princeton, WestVA. We stayed the night in a hotel and left out early the next morning where we surprised Ashley's family for Thanksgiving!!

We cooked an 18 lb Turkey (Maple bacon with Sage Butter), Cranberry Salad, another small Turkey Breast, Honeybaked Ham, Greenbean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Bread, Jason's Pumpkin Chiffon Pies, and we had stuffing too. It was an awesome feast and a great surprise to the family! We got up the next morning...while some didn't go to sleep (Jason & Jacob) We made it to Best Buy, Target, Michael's, Chick-fil-A for breakfast, and Khol's. Then we headed home for a nap.

The rest of the weekend was spent watching great football (unfortunately neither team will make it to a bowl this year) and laughing with family and friends. It was great to see all of you again. We're hoping that we made it enjoyable!!

Love and miss all of you!!

PS. Jason's dates (if we're still in New York) to go to Oklahoma will be Jan 19th. Ashley may go earlier to attend a confrence, but it's undecided at the moment. We are hoping to be moved back to Texas by Christmas so that we can spend it with family! We wish you a happy shopping season and a ton great decorating fun!

November Update & Other Fun Stuff

So here's the deal.

Jason comes home the other day and we both start figuring out money. We noticed that yes we are bringing home a substansial (sp) amount of money, but what the guys are now telling him is once he starts training, he could be here for a minimum of 7 years before they'll even think of letting him go for transfer. Think that scared us, well it sure did make us think.

We figured out, based on income tax and state tax that would be taken out of his salary is roughly $12k. With that said it's crazy! On another note, it's expensive to live here, yes, but we weren't anticipating loosing $12k a year to taxes alone!  So we did it.

He called and asked what level facility DFW is. (He's at an 8 right now) It's a 12. He got into contact with the guys down there and asked if they were looking for people and explained the situation. We're not happy here. We love that God brought us here, but we feel that we're done with what we needed to do. If for some reason the paperwork doesn't go through the way we want, that just means that God wants us here longer. We will stay here and do whatever...we just didn't know all the facts before we came.

We learned a lot while we were here. To get insurance you have to have had prior insurance and then once they give you insurance you have to go and get a NY license (For the both of us, $180), registration (which God only knows is how much), and Plates for the vehicle. Our insurance premium would have been $2200 for the year. Again, crazy. We also live in a "not so nice" neighborhood/apt. It's a little dirty and 2 blocks from the questionable part of town. We learned that no light, sign, or marking on the road could teach these people to drive (don't want to hear how Californian's can't drive...THEY CAN drive...here...not so much).

We learned that Family and Friends mean the world to us and we want to be near everyone again. Everyone here is nice, but pretentious and stuck up. It's not like they have more money than us, it's just how they are.

In conclusion, we pray that we're in God's timing and purpose for our lives. We know that we were supposed to be here in the beginning but not 7 years down the road. There is no way with us staying here we would be able to have children or get into a house. It wouldn't happen but by the grace of God. We know however, once that would have happened we still would have been scraping with no extra money AT ALL. (and hey, we still like to go to the movies like anyone else!)

Just be praying and thanks for everything everyone. Heather and Matt, we miss you guys and love that you came to see us. We can't believe it's been 2 weeks, it seems like yesterday--that's what happens when the ones you love show love!

Friends are the best

Wow. Yesterday we were getting ready for date night and then we heard a knock on the door. Normally it's the guys downstairs because we don't know anyone here, but when we opened the door, there on the other side were our Best Friends Matt and Heather King! They actually surprised us! We were TOTALLY shocked and surprised, and happy, excited....there just aren't enough words to describe it. We wanted to say thanks to them for making our day and week extra special!

We love you guys!

Snow, Update, and Oct birthday's

SO sorry we didn't write earlier but we just regained power after having none for almost a week. It was the snow storm that I'm sure most of you heard or read about in the news. We have been trying to keep ourselves busy here with a lot of things to do.

Well so far, we've been to Niagra Falls, Toronto (but we didn't like it--however we were told that the "layer" we were on was just the top, the city is underneath), Niagra on the Lake, Rochester (to see Chuck preach at New Life Fellowship--and to see Joe and Vonnie Askins). And then it happened--the snow came. So that was a week long affair to remember.

We can't explain how happy we were to see the snow, but then it took our electricity along with about 200,000 other homes in the area. We stayed warm with blankets and occasionally turned on the stove and stood in the kitchen. Other times we went to stores that did have power to see what was left. We ended up having to buy a big comforter, candles, a puzzle, and monopoly--to keep busy.

We thank everyone for their prayers! And are so grateful that God is on the throne! Because without him we would not have survived the storm! Thanks for calling to check up on us and now that we have power our phones won't be dieing. Be praying for Jake (my brother, went in for an apendix removal LATE last night), Erica Ruley (the dr's might be telling her she has cervical cancer), and Heather King (she will be going in for a bladder procedure at the end of the month).  It seems like the enemy is trying really hard to take out those that are close to us. We are happy that Gary made it home from the hospital safe and sound, and that everyone who was sick is now (kind of) better.

We think that's it for now. We have to get ready for church since we didn't get to go on Sunday. But not before we give out the October Birthday Wishes!

We Made It!

So after 2,064 miles we are finally here! We made it after only a 12 hour trip from Raliegh.  It was fun--a little scary up in the DC area but the pics speak for themselves. We left Oklahoma on Monday, Sept 11 and were in Denton until Wednesday morning when we left out for Georgia. That was a 16 hour car trip and it felt like 2 days. Then from Georgia we went to North Carolina to spend the night (7 hours total to get there) and then the next morning off to New York we went.

We went through Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, Pensylvania, and New York. If we had gone the other way we don't think it would have been too fun.

So, the furthest North we've been is Colorado (Jason) and DC (Ashley). This was a trip that we only remember gas prices on.  It was long and tiring and we think we have Buffalo down a little bit-at least the shopping!

Everyone is really nice here. We moved into our temporary "home" on the 20th where we will try to spruce the OLD place up a bit...maybe install new wood floors in exchange for rent. The "landlord" is Jason's Union VP. This gives us a chance to pay bills off. We will not be getting our stuff because there is no way it will fit through the doors or upstairs.

Jason's second day at work went nice. The first day he found out the FAA implimented a lot of new rules such as dress code, whether they leave for lunch or not, and specified break times. If Jason had gotten in a month ago, he would be getting about 4k more right now, but we know God works the way he does.

The tax rates aren't too bad up here. It's 8.3% on most items except food and clothes then it's 4.25%. Gas in Oklahoma was $2 when we left, then we paid about 2.50 the rest of the way until we got to New York. It's $2.72 here. The Hotel we werere in wasn't bad but it looks as though Buffalo is being "remodled" so to speak. The weather when we left wasn't BAD but it was in the 90*'s that we remember. Here's it's been in the 60*'s and we have no idea past 10 pm because that's our bed time :)

We made it through our first week in Buffalo. It was very trying and Ashley's back isn't doing much better. As of Friday, we had to check into a hotel to take a shower because they didn't come turn on our gas like they were supposed to. That was THE worst hotel that we have ever stayed in.  Then Saturday we went up to Niagra Falls. (which is only about 20 min) and decided to go over to Canada. (Ontario is right over the Falls). Jason has never been out of the country and Ashley's only been to Mexico a couple of times...so it was a new experience. It's really nice over there and they talk so cute! There are pictures of what they have...some of the pics we didn't get were of Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, Marvel's Comic Store, Coca-Cola Store...and some other museums that we didn't want to pay to get into...mainly because you have to have money to pay :) You don't have to exchange your money which worked for us. We bought a T-shirt and lunch at Wendy's.

There was TONS of Maple candies, syrups, and cookies. The moose is big up there...and of course everything says Canada on it just in case you forget where you are.  We also took a trip downtown yesterday after church at "Sword of the Spirit Ministries" (which is there's website as well)...Downtown's a little abandoned. There is some great architechture but it's really old! So HGTV is renovating a lot of it...we'll be excited to see it when they're finished. Then we went around looking for new places to live. It was slim pickin's!! But we did find a few houses in a price range we'd be willing to pay. We got groceries to last us for 2 weeks...we thought it'd be like $120 but when done ringing up it was $82...how crazy is that?! Now gas, is still $2.60-$2.70 but they said it had come WAY down in the last week.

Well we better go....We thank you all for prayer, food, and lodging (and money) through this HUGE trasition for us. We promise to pay you back with prayer, food, and lodging anytime! (money will have to be later)! Love you all and miss you

August 26

Update and September Birthday Wishes.

Change is in the air once again for us.  We have been so busy looking for jobs, taking a trip to Arizona to help with our friends' kids, and now we throw moving into the mix.

We're moving all of our stuff into storage and in with our friends (who we just went to Arizona with).  We're so excited about this transition in our lives and we're ready for New York to call so we can move yet again.

We got a new car a couple of weeks ago. It's a 2006 Dodge Stratus--not our pick.  It was the only thing that the dealership could put us in to carry over almost $8k that we lost in the Expedition.  Don't get us wrong-we loved that Expedition but the more money we sank into it, the more our pockets looked empty.  We are going to get out of this car ASAP and into something that we want! On top of that Wells Fargo was the only finance company that would finance us...unfortunately we do not like them so that was another reason to move out of this car quickly.

We had a lot of change the last few months. It doesn't feel like it should be September--only because our first summer in Texas, wasn't as bad as we thought it would be weather wise :) . Plus we have had things to keep us busy.  A few days ago we went with the grandparents to IKEA...which is like our favorite store of ALL time! This one here is bigger than the one in San Diego!

We did find out some news about friends of ours that are going through a divorce right now.  For his birthday next month, we wanted to send him a collage of pictures that we had of his girls.  Basically their mom wants nothing to do with them which is sad for us too because all the pictures we have--mainly have her in them. We are praying that everything gets worked out between them all because it's also so hard for those girls to not have a mommy...especially one that doesn't want to see them.

On a lighter note-our friends' kids here just had a great birthday celebration.  Jason designed a LarryBoy cake and Ashley did the icing on it.  It was a milestone month for the family.  The oldest is 4, the middle is 18 months, and the littlest is 4 months.  We are so happy to get to watch them grow. They mean the world to us!

One day when we have kids we'll look back at all the kids we've been there to help and they'll probably be in 3rd grade.  It's funny how things turn out in life!  OK it's time for Birthday Announcements this month!

More Information

Hi Everyone!

Well, it's been about 6 weeks since we let out the new about New York to everyone.  Our friends are sad, our families are happy and sad, and we're happy that we now have a little more information.  At first I think we stated that we MIGHT be going to NY. Well, a call today confirmed that notion.  We are moving to Syracuse, New York.

That's about the extent we have for everything.  Ashley got laid off her job again.  Jason and Ashley both have job interviews with Sears starting tomorrow--be praying that goes well!  If we don't get some money soon, we might be further in debt, debt not being on luxerious items either.  That's on electricity and food...and we gotta eat!!

Praise God that we are falling into his timing.  We wouldn't be moving to NY except by his devine appointment.  We're learning so much as to where we're going and what we'll be doing there.

Ashley has recently started a website from scratch relating to scrapbooking.  She couldn't use the phrase "scrapbooking for dummies" because apparently they creators of that have already done a book.

Jason is finding his vacation time must now come to a close.  After 6 months he's had 2 jobs.  He delivered papers for about 3 weeks, and then worked at Lewisville Volkswagon for 2 weeks.  Ashley has had 2 jobs also.  This last lay off was really rediculous and we know that it had to do with God's timing.  They know that the Lord will bless because they are "good and faithful servants".

We want to thank our friends Matt and Heather for showing their gratitude this month by letting us eat their food and hang out with them and their kids.  They have been awesomly great friends and they are a true blessing to us. We already miss you guys!!

Well I guess that leaves birthday's for June, July, and August (it could be a while before we're back online!)

Happy Memorial Day & Etc.

Happy Memorial Day!  I have some great news!

Jason got a job offer from the FAA it's in NEW YORK!

Now we've been learning here at our church to PRAY and SEEK the Lord on everything because NY is THE MOST EXPENSIVE place to live in the nation. It has the highest income tax, you pay tolls on EVERY road, and when you do trash, you have to buy the county trash bags (you can't use your own).

We prayed and felt that there was some reason why we were supposed to be there and that the Lord has gone and prepared a speacial place for us. Then the Prophet at our church gave us a word that confirmed it all.

So Jason has to turn in his paperwork tomorrow and then we'll be getting ready to leave when they tell us.

So Our 2 year anniversary was this year. And we had a small party. It was fun. Our "cell group" that meets with young marrieds at the church broke up because the Lord was leading the group members all through seasons and the leaders weren't there with us. Our friends Marilynn and Deirdre are moving and CONGRATS to Deirdre she's getting married!!

Our friend Becca got married on Friday night. It was a great ceremony. We've been so busy because we have the BEST friends here that just had a baby in April. She's now 7 weeks old and growing so fast...we're so going to miss them. We go over to their house every night. They're so sad that we're moving, but know that as soon as God sends us, the sooner he'll bring us back.

Since we haven't mentioned birthdays in a couple months here goes:

 May

12- Bill Davis (Dad)

And Happy 2nd Anniversary to Jason and Ashley :)

Happy Anniversary to Gary and Kathy Patterson

So I guess that's all for now. We're excited about what God has in store for our life.  Be praying that the move goes smoothly and that we have money to pay for someone else to move us, because it's NOT easy.

Another Month Passes

Hello!

We have been through yet another month. It has been a VERY long month!!

Because Ashley is working out SO much during the week, she is slowly but surely slimming down to what she was before Jason and her were married. Jason will soon start working out again because as he puts it "I'm fat".

Jason did shortly after the last blog find a job and it is delivering commercial newspapers for the Dallas Morning News. He makes $450 a week works about 3-5 hours each morning, and didn't have any complaints until recently. He just got a job as the newest VW Salesman at Lewisville VW (ranked #7 in the NATION!) He is commission based, but it is a great job and since they are selling cars like IHOP sells pancakes, he shouldn't have any problem bringing in money to pay down a lot of bills :)

Ashley continues at the gym, but is also looking at a Law Firm office here in Denton. She will be an Admin Assistant to the Mr. Coker and still working at the gym teaching health and fitness classes a few times a week.

"We feel totally blessed to have such great friends here!! It's been so long since we've found someone that will listen to us and give us great advice. Even though we still miss everyone we don't get to see anymore, soon we will be able to vacation with time to spare! We love you guys and love that you visit this site regularly!

We are still learning SO much about our families! As we continue with that please contact us with any information you might have regarding that. We are hoping to make it back to California in June for a couple of weeks if we can. We want to be able to see everyone in that time besides the family.

As God continues to bless us, may he bless you this Easter! We are going to put up late Happy Birthday's soon...we haven't forgotten about you! Love you guys!"
March 04

Praise God!

Hi again. Sorry it's been so long.

Ashley got a job last week as a fitness consultant at "It Figures" a women's gym about 5 min from the house. Jason is still looking for a job...however God continues to provide for our every need.

The day Ashley got her job, she started having vision problems. Her eyes were crossing and wouldn't focus, she was losing balance, and she had an awful pain in the back of them. Well after much praying and healing, God has healed her vision SO much that she now needs new glasses and contacts!! We are so greatful that it happened though because she couldn't drive for a week and a half and she wasn't able to fully concentrate on her brand new job because of the issue.

(by-the-way, she loves her new job!! We've never seen her smile so much when she gets off!!)

While Jason is still looking, we know that in God's timing he will find something. We're so blessed to know that the church is going to help him move into his appointed time and place.

We want to wish each and everyone of you a great month. We don't get to leave messages that much, but when we do we try to include as much info as possible. If you need prayer or want to talk don't hesitate to call us...remember that Jason's Cell is now gone so you will not be able to get a hold of him through his number anymore. Thanks!!

Love you !

Update

Hi everyone!

We're SO excited about what God has done in our lives. Since the last time we wrote, a lot has been changing in our hearts and lives. We still are looking for jobs, but in the meantime, God has provided SO much for Jason and I that we are so relieved and blessed to have him comfort us and bless us. We have not needed to scrounge for money in over 3 months. We have had all the food and groceries we've needed to get. We have plenty of money to get gas when we need it. Most of all, we've felt the great love and joy in our hearts through the way he has spoken to us and through what he has showed us.

We hope that all of you are doing well. We are OFFICIAL Texans now. We have plates, registration, and licenses. Those will be up on the website soon and we hope that everyone is enjoying this website. Our prayers go out to so many of you daily and you're all on our hearts. We pray that you are being blessed in such a way that you see that it's God that is blessing you. We love you guys and thanks for the support and prayers! See you soon!

We're doing great...

Hi!

We miss everyone. Sorry we haven't written in a while, we've been busy with family, trying to find jobs, and Church. Our new home church is Glory of Zion and it's teaching us so much about life, love, and God. We're so excited about what God has in store for our lives, so you have to bear with us while we're in major spirit "transitioning".

We hope you all liked the pictures from Christmas. We just celebrated Ashley's 22nd birthday and it was fun. Pa'Pa and Ma'Ma took us to dinner at Johnny Corino's and we had gift time there. She appreciated it VERY much. She also had an interview with a bank kind of North from here, but that's not where God wanted her. She has an interview tomorrow...she'll let you know how it goes if she gets the job...and the GREAT discount we could use for winter time!

Jason is on the list for the FAA hiring status. He's waiting on airports in the area to start calling up and needing him...then off he gors to either school or straight in to the facility. We are hoping that God puts him with people that are Christians, and that understand while at first he will work whenever, eventually God has to have his day. So that's all good and well. His family is now within 2 hours from us and we're excited to get to see them soon. His mom just bought a house, and so did his dad. So now they all live real close to where we would be visiting. His brother is doing good. We're waiting to see what the Lord has in store next on his path of life.

We want to wish a Happy Birthday to:
Conor Chase 6th
Erica Colbert 7th
Ashley 12th
Andrea St. Andrew 12th
Lan Quach 20th
Chris Davis 20th
Stephen Ruley 20th
Erica Ruley 27th
We wish you blessings and great joy  on these special days.

LOVE!!

Hook 'em Horns!

We're so excited that the Horns won the NCAA championship title. NOTHING else mattered this year BUT that. Congrats to Vince for making the touchdown of a lifetime and being the best at what he does! We love the Horns...Hopefully this next season we can make it to a few games. Unfortunately UGA lost to whomever they played. Ashley got tired and fell asleep-after moving ALL day it was a longer game than expected. However...they ARE still the SEC Champions for this year...and they beat FL to that title! Congrats to Quentin! Love ya! PHOTO ATTACHED

Found a NEW home

Everyone knows by this time that we have moved from California to Texas. We have lived with our grandparents for about 3 weeks now and seen many apartments around here. There was one that we drove by several times and I kept saying there's something about it. Well, come to find out they were income restricted apartments. Jason and I knew that we wouldn't be able to pull off his income, because with the military pay, here, it would be SO much more than what we could get in there for.

Well, we tried anyway, and were of course approved. This means that we got a bigger apartment for WAY less than what we would have paid ever in California. These apartments were built in 2004 and are what we consider Luxury La Jolla apartments...BUT it's SOOO quiet, yet SOOO close to everything (Target, WalMart, Old Navy...you know the GOOD stuff).

Jason and I are now looking for new jobs (to tie over until his school date) and we have already been to church (Jason and I love it there) and found a new Chiropractor...he's the only one we're not so "happy" with right now. BUT there are plenty more in the area. So one more chance and then it will be on to another.

So we signed the lease yesterday, got the keys, paid everything...and can start moving in asap...only we picked the weekend where everything's closed...so Monday will be it.

We want to wish everyone a HAPPY & Safe NEW Year Beginning. May God bless each of you in your ways needed, and may He continue to watch over you all year long. If you would like to get a sneak peek of the apartments before we send pictures, there is a link on the HOME page to "our new home".

Love and miss everyone!!
